EUR/USD is trading at 1.1157 (-0.19%), testing the lower bounds of its recent range as bearish momentum persists. The pair remains firmly below both the 20-day (1.1196) and 50-day (1.1387) SMAs, confirming the downtrend's structural integrity. Today's session saw a failed attempt to reclaim 1.1200, with sellers defending the 20-day descending resistance trendline at 1.1235 (78.3 pips above current). The 20-day channel is technically sideways but leans bearish given the descending resistance, while the 50-day channel is decisively descending with resistance at 1.1214 (57.8 pips away). Immediate static support sits at S1 (1.1126, 31.1 pips below), with the 20-day dynamic support at 1.1103 (53.2 pips lower) forming a potential floor.

RSI at 50.4 shows neutral momentum, but the rejection at today's high (1.1214) suggests bears retain control. The pair's inability to hold above the pivot (1.1156) despite a weak dollar session hints at underlying selling pressure. With the 50-day dynamic resistance descending and static resistance levels (R1 at 1.1207) only 50 pips away, rallies face stiff overhead supply.

Near-term, watch for a break below S1 (1.1126), which could accelerate losses toward the 20-day dynamic support (1.1103). Conversely, a close above today's high (1.1214) would challenge the descending 50-day resistance (1.1214), though the bearish SMA alignment makes sustained upside unlikely. The Fed's Wednesday decision could be the catalyst — any hawkish tilt may push EUR/USD toward the year's low (1.1124).
