Note: The transactions reported here refer to legal insider trading — purchases, sales, and other dealings in company securities by executives, directors, and major shareholders, which are required by law to be disclosed to the SEC via Form 4 filings within two business days of the transaction. This article covers the top 100 most significant transactions by dollar value from today's filings. This is entirely distinct from illegal insider trading, which involves buying or selling securities based on material, non-public information in violation of US federal securities law and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.
Today’s insider trading activity leaned heavily bearish, with sales outpacing purchases by more than four to one. Of the 100 total trades recorded, only 19 were buys, while 81 were sales, signaling a notable shift toward profit-taking or reduced exposure among corporate insiders and major shareholders. The disparity suggests caution in certain corners of the market, even as a few significant bullish bets emerged.
The largest insider purchases were concentrated in a handful of high-profile names. Berkshire Hathaway, led by its 10% owner entity, made two massive buys totaling $271.4 million in Lennar Corporation (LEN), doubling down on its position in the homebuilding giant. Kodiak Sciences Inc. (KOD) also saw substantial buying, with Baker Bros. Advisors LP acquiring $121 million worth of shares across two transactions. Additionally, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-B) itself was a buyer, with its 10% owner entity purchasing $52.4 million in shares, reinforcing confidence in its own stock.
On the sell side, the largest transactions were even more substantial. Accelevation Holdings Corp. (ACCV) topped the list with OGP VIII, LLC offloading $360 million in shares, marking one of the day’s most significant disposals. Target Hospitality Corp. (TH) followed, as TDR Capital II Investments LP sold $202.4 million in stock. Elastic N.V. (ESTC) and Hut 8 Corp. (HUT) also saw major proposed sales, with CMXI B.V. and Michael Ho looking to divest $281.8 million and $139.1 million, respectively. These large-scale exits suggest strategic portfolio adjustments or liquidity events among key stakeholders.

While select insiders demonstrated conviction in companies like Lennar and Kodiak Sciences, the overwhelming volume of sales—particularly in growth-oriented names—hints at broader risk aversion.
